Really depends on the location, snow melt is presenting a whole host of issues for the Tulare Lake basin and San Joaquin River plus it’s tributaries.

On Sunday instability increases on eastern slopes as an inverted trough moves into Nevada, there is an inverted-V profile indicating the potential for dry lightning strikes. There could be lightning starts in the desert mountains where fuels are most receptive and seasonal grasses are still present.
