I’m tracking another index that is unique to my climate experiences - it’s the “Number of Days Pants are Required Index.” Born/raised on the Central Coast so i’ve evolved to wear shorts 363 days a year no problem. Its a different story in Redding bcuz it can get friggin cold and the cold “feels” different here than closer to the coast. So far this season i’ve had zero pants required due to cold days & two pants required bcuz of raining sideways days! Prob doesn’t mean a thing - or maybe it does?!

Some gusty north and northeast winds this morning.
Sonora area this morning at 08:45…Temp 48 RH 70 wind calm. Heavy dew this morning. Another week of mid 60’s to 70 degree weather in the Motherlode. Great weather for burn projects but terrible for our building up snow for run off in the spring into summer. Mornings been cold afternoon warm. Trees don’t know which way to turn. We need a lot more moisture or it’s going to be a long summer for the troops.
