Hey folks I finally got a this Public Safety Land Survey Plugin built. For years I just had a datapackage for california that worked but has no rendering control for zoom etc. Now we have an ATAK plugin and it covers all of CONUS. Guide is on there so you can see what it looks like and how it works.
Hey all I have another ATAK Plugin.
So after creating the PLSS plugin so we could have that as an overlay over any map I got to thinking about some of the other pain points in ATAK with map data.
You have to side load digital terrain data. Download a zip file then use the atak import tool yada yada. The same goes for map data etc.
That ends now with the MapDepot Plugin. This allows you to browse for the state you want in 3D and just download it. Need the local district ranger map in a geopdf? Just download it and it puts it directly in ATAK. This also allows you to load a large variety of streaming map sources like Google that dont come with ATAK that before you would have to side load. Last is a vector tile package map of every national forest and BLM area that you download just what you need.
Download the plugin on your Android, ATAK will recognize it and load it.

Hey all adding a new feature to MAP-Depot plugin this allows you to browse FTP. Now this is beta and hope to release on monday with another plugin your gonna like called CAM-Depot. I had wanted to do this originally but the banner at the top of FTP was like oh its user/pw now and I was like well i have access but wanted to make this for everyone but then my fried was like no bro the current year is open! woohoo. check this out. Look if your an iphone user (i am) i am telling you get a used android on Amazon and just tether. ATAK also work with tmobile Sat from Starlink as well.

Video to follow but wanted to get this out! This is a plugin for ATAK that brings in 38k cameras across US and Canada. All the AlertWildfire Cams with bearing, camera icons spin with the bearing as cameras update, make favorite lists, look up camera, go to button, set custom visibility control , etc.

I promise a video on this one as well but I did put a sneak peek up a few posts above about what this update has. So now you can download all sorts of offline and streaming maps from Forests and Districts as well as browse the public NIFC FTP, and the UAS Wildfire Collaborative FTP.
Its time just to get on Amazon and get a used Samsung S21 plus phone or S7(+) or newer tablet. Once you get hooked into a TAK Server this gets even crazier with real-time intel flowing.
If you are in Colorado you already understand this. Some good news about a CA effort in the works.
