The plot thickens..
You had to know something was coming.. And now there will be Tariff’s leveled on Canada by the #Merica due to their “filthy smoke” etc, etc.. ![]()
Spent two weeks in BC and also another time in Alberta. Heavy fuels wind driven fires. Firefighter safety was a paramount concern. We were well received and we got a chance to see a system under severe stress. These new Ontario fires are in very remote areas. The Logistics problems must be challenging. I wish them well.
Logistics up “Nort” are very challenging. Most of the time it’s cut your way in and build a road at the same time or wait until it burns to something you can anchor and try to hold.. oh and the black flies will almost carry you away..

Maybe we will tariff Minnesota next?
Or maybe Canada will put tariffs on the U.S. for all the smoke from Oregon thats making it across the border!
