CA-BTU-Dixie?

Here is a composite image of the Dyer Mtn FLIR images from 21:30. Looking north. Centered roughly about a mile west of Westwood Dump. Westwood in lower right.

Yes, Iā€™ve been watching that one too. My daughter is a college student and Iā€™m six hours away. Following this page, Zekeā€™s website and the Alert Wildfire cameras has developed into an obsession for me. Any other useful links are appreciated!

Just watching that cam, the hamilton mt cam and the indian ridge cam and here. Canā€™t get a hold of anyone over there, sounds like the lines are down. Are you able to communicate with your daughter right now?

Wouldnā€™t you think that Californiaā€™s largest single fire would activate the Major Incident or Fire Special feeds?

That was a feed that was stood up on I think on a remote scanner on St. Helena or other mountain top nearby during the 2018 LNU complex, and it happened to cover BTU as well for their complex and they named it norcal major incident. Not sure how it would be stood up on the broadcastify side if another feed fed it. There is work being done with another member to possibly stream strictly Dixie West shortly - keep an ear out, possibly on Lassen Plumas or Butteā€™s broadcastify page.

Yeah he does a good job. And his weather report he just relayed is depressing.

Has there been any updates on the western side of the fire, out near Juniper lake? Last I heard there might be been a couple of lightning starts, but GOES has been showing activity.

Does anyone have anymore update on peninsula at pen drive toward A13?

Here is some good ground level info:

Based on the FLIR camera toggle less than 1 mileā€¦

Thats not the dump
Its north of there off 36

Gotcha, only thing returning on the map is the La Sierra dump in that location.

Iā€™m evacuated from Chester to a bit south of Standish, Iā€™m not yet worried itā€™ll come down into the valley. Brush and green crops donā€™t spread fire as easily in any case.

I think the fire is further NW than west of westwood.

As soon as my feed application gets approved(or tomorrow AM) I will have a west zone command feed online from Chico. It will show in Butte County on Broadcastify(currently with some old hardware I had lying around, will buy some upgrades for it tomorrow)

Here is a look at it on GOES-17.
The portion of the fire that was taking off yesterday around Willow Lake looks to be burning north into Lassen Park with great enthusiasm, and likely taking out Drakesbad. Kind of hard to get a peak at it with the clouds shadowing the weather satellite, but when it is showing, it is quite a run. The left-hand blob is around Willow Lake, middle left blob is pushing down toward Highway 36 between Causeway and A-13, and right of the 3 blobs is the fire threatening Westwood. You can see WW as the small area of light at 5-o-clock. The satellite image has a ā€˜city lights at nightā€™ layer on it.
