It appears the fire is burning in BLM Land now but it is CF DPA. Hopefully there will be more urgency to put this fire out. The press releases from the park states there is no immediate threat to communities but that is not true. There are homes close by to the fire.
I must say, they’ve been hitting it pretty hard the last few days with air resources it seems like. More than what seems to usually be happening.
But with that being said, I hope they continue to hammer it.
AA15 went up around 9am and the contract intel plane, wildfire 51 I think, went up before lunch. He’s out of socal.
Definitely more active today. Buck rocks got a great view.
Photos from yesterday afternoon.

Attached are a progression map, and what looks like an ops map outlining heli spots and such.
94 acres as of this morning at 1100ish.
Are you attached to the incident? It would be nice to here some updates from boots on the ground.
CIMT on order.
I deliver supplies to Silver City Resort twice a week (Tue/Wed). Having retired from CDF in 1998, then having a 1-ton PU on agreement for 26 years, I still like to check the pulse on CA wildfires.
Looking pretty active as the smoke mixes out and the wind shifts around. Shot from buck rock.
AA15 was up at 9am this morning and copter 509 joined them about 1000. 509 Flew in from up north… didn’t track it to see where she was based.
Does Norcal scan have the frequencies for Air Tactics? Thanks. I’ll scan the Park repeaters for command.
Anyone know where the ICP is for this incident or where they’re building fire camp?
I believe I read ICP and camp is in Three rivers, I also looked on one of the maps and they have spike camps near the fire.
Updated acreage of 228 today at 1100
Drove through three rivers today not a trace of a camp that I could see. No signs etc if its there its small. Three rivers makes sense though.
With only 70 people I’d imagine they are running out of the park hq and camped at potwisha or Sequoia lodge campground.
Resources coming out of Region 1 to support the IMT. Still chugging along and winds from the east:
Just heard tankers 76/78 fly over the house. Looks like headed that way.
