AA51 reporting 3-4 spot fires 1/4 mile outside the retardant line.
I heard Div M and IC talking about spot fire near Cone Peak Rd. They were concerned that it could get established by tomorrow. Unknown exact location. Div M was told to do what he could do safely.
Crews on Division M are stating the activity is already picking up and making small runs.
Hearing Carrizo IHC talk about coming up from the bottom and not coming across Cone Peak because of all the heat up top. They are talking about spot fires on Div M which I assume are the ones on the map close to Cone Peak Rd.
Night Div M asking for Bucket Drops for his Div for Day Shift. Highest priority is locking in Southern Corner (right shoulder) with only one crew. Day IC. talked to Div M about possible tactics including locations to take lines over the top of the ridge on the north end.
Day Div M Ordering/Asking for more resources. 2 Dozers (contract local ok), Overhead Divisions, 8 Crews including 4 immediate need handcrews, 2 IHCs, 1 Federal CST of Engines. May have missed some of the traffic as it was scratchy but he is concerned that they will loose it today if they don’t get more boots on ground and I couldn’t agree more.
KRN H407 just lifted and enroute to the fire.
Yeah there are two spots up on Div M and Div M/X Break. Heard several FF’s asking for buckets immediate need.
Op’s ordering 5000ft Progressive Hoselay to be delievered to Summit which is intersection of South Coast, Cone Peak Rd and Nacimiento Ferguson just west of Nacimiento Engine 16. Will need to be filled by cache because stations are stripped already.
AA-504 reports fire is still 300 acres w/ no structure threat, potential for 1000 acres. Now ordering a lead plane + 4 air tankers to the fire.
