Fire has crossed Rouse Ridge in several sports.
Palomar camera showing lots of open flame on the west side of red mountain
div A reports fire has jumped bautista rd at the origin and is making a hard push toward fairview, immediate life threat on div alpha for resident refusing to leave, impacting dead grove in 5 mins
edit 19:06 resident has now left, life threat mitigated
Looks like the winds are beginning to switch and the eastern portion of the fire is waking up.https://www.alertwildfire.org/region/inlandempire/?camera=Axis-Idyllwild1
Getting real concerned about it coming across 74.
branch 1 recommend evacs for everything south of 74 and closure of 74
branch 3 wants 4 strike teams anytype, fire well established making a hard push toward cactus valley. sourcing some resources from branch 5
Doing hard closure from Cactus Valley Road, South on Sage Road to Minto Way, to Red Mountain Rd.
25 closest engines immediate need to branch 3
RRU just dumped a lot of engines into Sage
It was not a good day in Div A. Fairview Ave at Bautista Rd. Late afternoon winds spotted across black line that was worked all day and ran north to Bautista Rd and the neighborhoods west of there. It was shift change on my tender by 7:30 there were a number of ST in bound with a huge law enforcement presence to bump and run to evacuate in a hurry and save homes if they could.
There was an area just north of the old Sage station that burned in the mid to late 90’s. Do not recall the acreage .
