CA-SHU-Fawn???

That transmission line certainly feeds/runs the entire canyon, with Pacific Corp on the other side. I too don’t know the ins and outs of where they decide to turn off other than a combination of jurisdictional boundaries and sheer capacity of available power from the other side.

And speaking of power, the battery backup keeping my live scanner streaming the Fawn command and air traffic ran out of juice 110min into a power outage in Red Bluff. It’ll be down until PGE figures left from right.

Northwest edge of the fire has bumped into Lake Shasta. South/southeast wind has cleared out the west side.

Quick Q for anyone with good intel. My brother lives just West of the perimeter, on Dry Creek Rd, 1 mile south of Bear mountain. He’s been evacuated since the start…. Any re-pop plans coming in the near future?
Thank you!!!

It appears residents only are being allowed back in for most of the evacuated areas. Info on what areas were posted about 3 hours ago on CalFire Facebook page: Redirecting...

Thank you very much for the info…. Looks like he’ll get home today!

Thank you!

Was there ever a final count done on the number of homes destroyed?

I know it was more than my first report. But I have not seen a final number.

The current number sits at 185 Structures Destroyed and 26 Structures damaged. Although, perhaps not the final, it should be pretty close to final by now.
