This was meant as a reply to Jsdavis’ question about the Huntington area.
Yes the areas up here on Oregon flared up quick. I live around Albany and I’ve been watching them break out.
Wonder if the spot could be an escaped camp fire someone left when evacuating?
If you are referring to the spot near Courtright, I’d say no. That specific area is hot dry and heavily wooded. Not a typical spot to camp. Campers on those trails would stay near one of the lake above. More than like it’s something that fell in the area from the first 2 days and finally caught
I read yesterday of “embers” fist and arm size falling down in the Huntington area
Can you post the link to the north zone IAP?
The North Zone IAP is password protected and the South Zone is not.
Actually if you scroll to PAGE 35 you’ll see the north zone is just appended to the south zone on the same document. Here is todays link if you missed it https://calfire.app.box.com/v/CALFIREIMT1/file/716959976469
no password or account needed
Thank You Very Much
It has been removed.
The file for the IAP has been removed. is there any where else we can look to find it?
Not sure if this is redundant but better to post in case someone missed it, that many of Shaver businesses seem to be standing based on this brief report: https://twitter.com/i/status/1303742243526733829
I have had two direct updates from folks operating in Shaver Village today that the east village is untouched. The areas where the fire passed through on 168 from top of four-lane to Shaver did not have anything burning that caused concern.
I am new on the forum and have not established credentials, but I am a City of Fresno Firefighter and am only passing on credible information. The sources of this information are people who live in and work with Shaver infrastructure.
Welcome to the forum and thanks for the positive news.
Any updates on the spot at Courtright? No specific mention of it the IAP. Are any resources being committed?
I haven’t been able to get an IAP map for a few days. Does anyone have a link or screenshots of the sierra cedars area?
These two should cover the area for which you are looking.
