They did some firing up in division Oscar last night but right now the fire is moving with a purpose up in that area and things are going sideways.
With a purpose indeed! Itâs looking HOT++ on the GOES!
Looks like itâs going scorched earth policy on the cans this morning.
Yes. Last nightâs IR added about 1,000 acres of new burn over past 24 hrs on north end of the fire in the Teakettle Experimental Forest.
Its in the SW cornor, of the SW SEC 8 pushing against the the primary line 11SO15
Any Thoughts on this burning to the creek fire scar? I donât see much in the way thats going to stop it from doing that. A plume of monsoon moisture is coming in from the south hopefully that gets a little rain on it but at the same time might start more fires because of lightning.
That area from the creek fire to the Garnet covers about 162000 acres so likely no but not impossible.
That doesnât seem like that big of a number these days
Looks ugly on the Delilah Lookout 2 camâŚ

Yeah, the last hour of the 6 hour timelapse is like watching the end of the world.
A couple days ago, @Choinumni01 told me he thought outflows from these forecast storms would push the western flank of the fire into Dinkey Creek, greatly expanding the complexity of the incident. This appears to be happening, now.
With faster moving cells it would seem to me that the outflow boundary would also be moving even faster as well.. Not that it maters much or maybe it does?! Either way its no bueno for firefighters & humans in the way.. ![]()

Its getting real close to McKinley Grove road now and has crossed rancheria creek below sugarpine hill east of the north fork kings.
The image posting issue is back.
ALERTWest - Fence Meadow Lookout 2 shows active fire backing down towards Dinky Creek. On the 360 view, you can see the fire well past Paterson Mtn.
Burning along a part of McKinley Road tonight.
Well with the amount of new fire starts, doesnât seem like this one is going to be put out anytime soon, I love that hole area and donât want it to burn but if I was anywhere in between shaver lake and the fire front I would be getting things ready to leave, I think itâs going to burn all the way to the lake.
Are you referring to a firing op or just the fact that the fire has reached that point.
On the fence meadow cam looks like the winds are in alignment with the dinkey creek drainage, blowing up slope
They fired part of McKinley Grove road last night.
Got both scoopers working above dinkey creek, its a little calmer up there today.
