CA-SNF-Garnet ???

They did some firing up in division Oscar last night but right now the fire is moving with a purpose up in that area and things are going sideways.

Looks like it’s going scorched earth policy on the cans this morning.

Yes. Last night’s IR added about 1,000 acres of new burn over past 24 hrs on north end of the fire in the Teakettle Experimental Forest.

Any Thoughts on this burning to the creek fire scar? I don’t see much in the way thats going to stop it from doing that. A plume of monsoon moisture is coming in from the south hopefully that gets a little rain on it but at the same time might start more fires because of lightning.

That area from the creek fire to the Garnet covers about 162000 acres so likely no but not impossible.

That doesn’t seem like that big of a number these days

Yeah, the last hour of the 6 hour timelapse is like watching the end of the world.

A couple days ago, @Choinumni01 told me he thought outflows from these forecast storms would push the western flank of the fire into Dinkey Creek, greatly expanding the complexity of the incident. This appears to be happening, now.
