Team briefing this morning confirms, no structures lost in Camp Nelson despite spots in and around it. Ponderosa similar situation.
Just talked to the TF here at our station in Pine Flat that was doing R&R today . They will be heading back up Parker Pass for night shift soon. They are assigned to Pondo. They cut in a lot of line last night and will continue tonight prepping Pondo… Everything they told me was positive and encouraging. It was great seeing them and some were FF’s for me or worked with me back in the day. A quick reunion of sorts. Told them to be safe and put the darn fire out lol
Caught pieces of the Morning briefing on the scanner.
Point protection (Nelson & Ponderosa) is again today’s focus.
I’m having trouble loading the iap. Can someone please send me today’s? Thanks
Thank you kind person

East Zone update: Ponderosa and Camp Nelson still no lost structures. Same for Pyles camp and Lloyds Meadow area. Continued “point protection” in place. Contingency line being worked on to the south on the Tule reservation along the Crawford Rd. Fire now established in the Coy Compartment upslope of the 21S94 which has lots of bug kill and is threatening Rogers Camp and Mtn Aire at the top of Coy.

Burn out ops underway? From Blueridge cam, there’s some good building columns :
http://www.alertwildfire.org/sierra/index.html?camera=Axis-BlueRidge2&v=81e004f
Notice that this cam stopped at the posted hour. Watching the progression from 3 hrs ago it comes over the ridge and below in the canyon at same time. This site get burned over?
Looking north from Blue Ridge toward Dennison and unless things changed drastically from last night, my bet is a firing op…
Yes firing op- started about 2 hours ago.
![image|231x500](upload://jSHbJNDtihNGbPCjWCvo0biagN7. This is the piece they are burning today- from the fire line in the NW Portion of section 35 to the TT/PP Break in section 1. The lead firing group is already at the Division break and hanging it up there for the day- the upper team is moving slower due to some spotting issues in the grass but will be able to tie there operation into the lead team prior to days end.
So are they dragging fire essentially from grouse to Dennison Peak?
