CA-SQF-Lightning 2024 (Trout) ???

There’s a few choices. FWAC tracks lightning. Lightnings Maps is probably more common. Blitzortung has some features. The fixed wing and rotorhead pilots might have something else integrated with their nav systems.

Tanker is over the Trout in comms with ground crews.

AA is requesting 2 type 1 tankers and VLAT to the Trout. Priority ground suppression resource protection.

LZ for jumpers is still safe for crews, Copter 538 enroute to extract.

Trout Spotted into Dark? Canyon.

Update @16:35 AA updates 300-500 acres with many spots , some a mile outside perimeter. Re-evaluate fire proprieties.

H538 is pulling the jumpers off the fire, and moving them. Sounds like to the heel, but wasn’t sure exactly.

Irony in the time lapse is a lookout in the rain while watching a rotating column.

Watching the 3 hour loop from the Bald Mountain camera is a text book example of T-Storms affecting a fire. Pretty cool to watch

Getting a good heavy rain in Kelso valley and it’s moving towards the fire. So that may be some good news

Pack Saddle IC updates fire is holding at 15 acres with line in at the two flanks and tanker drops have stopped the FROS at the head.

Trout Fire is unstaffed for the night due to the large growth of the fire. Estimate need for resources will be evaluated tonight and placed.

I don’t see any extended freqs ordered up for SQF-Trout, but I do see some for Packsaddle. I wonder if they’ll just use Packsaddle’s order. Try these.

AA52 is requesting one VLAT, one type 1 tanker, two type 1 copters to the fire.

One spot fire located outside the main body.

AA52 is being called the pack saddle AA. Pack saddle, Poison, and Trout Fires all under one command with Lighting Coordinator. Trout is the only active fire of the three.

P43 has a new start, 1 acre SROS, on Sirretta Pass area. Sirretta Fire. Request 1 type 6 engine. Could be a spot from Trout.

Kindof off subject, but noticed some heat showing in the mountain home area. No traffic on it, 1 helicopter has been flying it. Anyone have an info? Definitely seemed like there was lightning through there yesterday.

Might be the COLD incident as listed in Wildcad. It has PT25 and Scorpions 1 handcrew on it.

Some where along the day the Pack Saddle AA (which was contained today, grew abit overnight, 40+ acres)… AA was renamed to Trout AA. Seems like a god idea as the Trout was this morning priority. Tankers drops still being called in on Tactics channel, until weather changes.
It did…AA held T911 and other tankers at Santa Maria. Probably will get diverted.
