AA released T88 back to Grass Valley empty. Did not state reason.
And now AA placed an order for 2 S2s out of GV.
I agree⌠looking at that column doesnât say anything other than something is burning. Is it a burning operation, an island burning or the fire is doing what it wants to do. Cameras are good, but I say we stay away from prognostications of what might be happening. Remember, everyone is seeing what you are seeing and each person has their own opinion of whatâs happening.
Well said! âearly detectionâ was always the key in my book.
For your purposes the key is to know that the TNF will be doing all the ordering.
AA placed an order with Grass Valley for a lead plane and relief for him at 11:45. Sounds like another long day
He has the type 2 rotor from station 10 N36WL and the Sikorsky UH-60A dipping out of the PUD? pond at Foresthill rd and Blackhawk Rd. Looks like they are dropping by Chicken Hawk rd
I suspect that request went to GV ECCâŚwho will fill in conjunction with NoOps at the appropriate time.
Spot forecast near Roperâs (the old bar) across from the intersection of Foresthill & Michigan Bluff:
Iâm pretty sure that low of 32F is a bug, but weâll take it if we get it!
Thought I heard AA request 3 LATs, 2VLATs, S2 trainee, and an engineer of some sort. Havenât heard anything about fills.
PG&E has submitted an electrical incident report to CPUC indicating that âelectrical activity occurred close in time to the report time of the [Mosquito] fireâ, and USFS has placed caution tape around one of their 60kv transmission poles. YubaNet has it: PG&E submits Electrical Incident Report re the Mosquito Fire
That sounds like it could be the pole that has/had a 3 way switch on it. Just a guess based on description and location.
Report says it was the Oxbow Tap/Middle Fork #1 line(s), if that means anything to you. Early aerial pictures of the fire do show it burning directly beneath the 60kV line corridor (the straight strip without vegetation). Interested to hear what USFS & co. determine. OLD PICTURE, for those skimming!
Sounds like they are doing emergency demobing of type 3âs off the mountain/mill incident for this one
AA saying fire has jumped the American River into El Dorado County, asking VLATs to come backâstructures threatened imminently. No divert on currently assigned tankers. Mosquito, Oxbow Reservoir
