Intel 24 just arrived over the fire. We should soon have a new size and perimeter. It will be interesting to see how many spots and how far away.
AA52 comms with YNP states 166 acres including all spots. He’s in comms with Intel24.
09:38 Tanker 107 joined right flank double every drop tying in spots working to the head.

Recent large fires:
A lot of rx fire has been done around Wawona in past 50 years. But not a lot in the beetle-kill era…

copters 3HT, 7KH or 7KV inbound assigned. 5HT down mechanical.
Lead 45 and tanker 914 to working right flank, copters working left flank. Tanker 105 on scene.
Spots are staffed, tankers will stay far enough not to drop on them.

Waiting on the 2 type 2 fixed wing that were ordered last night.
Without dozers… not a chance of catching this in this fuel type and these conditions…
Many hotshot crews were being requested last night, STF, SNF, ANF, SQF and KRN were name requested.
They asked about dozers unsure if they got permission even with dozers I think it would be hard for them to punch line in the down trees
Type 1’s could so some work in there.
STF hotshots are on scene so is SNF Kings River and SQF spring valley
Per Intel 43. 166 acres. The largest spot was 2 acres. There are multiple spots.
Here’s the FIRIS report:
We (Team 12)are supposed to be on 2hr this week but unable to roster due to staffing issues. That’s why 13 has this fire.
Unfortunately, the scanner that covered YNP on Broadcastify is out of service. You can try the multi-county “Central Sierra Fire Feed” and I do hear some air traffic. Since this fire is not CDF-focused, I’m not sure how much traffic you’ll hear otherwise.
Central Sierra Fire Feed had the channels added for this incident this morning you can hear AA IC and divisions
