I know they are both semi-accurate… but we are watching downstrikes in the sac valley right now… in person… that are not registering on either site.

Blitz and lightningmaps uses the same source. The sensors won’t capture all lightning flashes, only the NWS has access to the best lightning data. It probably captures 70% of all C-G lightning.
Radar returns over Folsom showing a characteristic hook shape, does anyone see rotation out that way?
