A big change on some of the high resolution models I am seeing is the offshore wind event lasts about another 12 hours than previously shown.

How far do n u think the moisture will go California.

From what I’ve gathered if you continued the 58 from Barstow to the coast that seems likely to be the line.

Did you ever think you’d see the day there was a named storm off of the coast of San Diego?

Have seen a few in my day.
Some have tracked up the sea of cortez and up the Colorado River valley

Well I think I fall on the side of Anvil on this one - as the graphic posted above shows - while yes - there have been many “remnants” of storms following the track you describe - VERY FEW get as far north as this one did while still defined enough to be considered a “tropical storm” by name.

Just started raining at Avila Beach. When you can’t escape the heat by going to the beach.

Left Santa Maria at 0900 and it felt like Florida with the rain. Had a celebration of life at the base of Cuesta grade today and it was 94 degrees until the wind finally blew in the clouds. Ended in Morro Bay where the temps never broke 70. Can never go wrong heading to the ocean.
